Telepathy refers to a form of direct mind-to-mind communication between two people. Thoughts and feelings can be exchanged, using only the minds of the communicants.
The telepathic ability is one that all humans possess to some degree, but have lost the means by which to control it on a conscious level. We all experience moments of telepathic activity subconsciously from time to time. Imagine being able to control that innate ability and use it to communicate.
There is no shortage of skeptics when it comes to telepathy, or in fact about any mental ability. However, consider this first , how many times have you been on top of the world when you run into someone you know who is feeling miserable; and after talking to this person for only a short time, you begin to take on the same mood? Probably more times than you can count.
Was it what they said? Not at all, at least not with their words. It is telepathy which has allowed you to feel what your friend is feeling.
Studies have demonstrated that it is possible to access and activate the portion of the subconscious which is responsible for this ability. By focusing your thoughts on a specific person, you are then able to communicate with them telepathically.
As with any other form of communication, we are taught as children by our elders. Our parents teach us speech and body language, so that we mimic the same language and even the same accents. This is because we all have the same ability to learn to communicate, but we only communicate in the ways in which we were taught.
What if our parents never taught us to use that other ability, the one where we can communicate with our minds? Does that mean we cant do it? No. It simply means we were never taught how.
Lets look at some ways you might use to awaken your own latent telepathy.
Mental-Muscle training
Just as we have to learn how to control our vocal chords as children to form speech, your telepathic muscles will also need some training.
It is easiest to access the part of your brain which controls telepathic function when you are in a trance state. You can reach this state of deep relaxation by using relaxation techniques including meditation.
You have to practice until it is easy for you to reach this state. Once you have managed to do this, you have started training your mind to use telepathy.
Focus
This can be difficult for many, it takes some practice to be able to stay focused while in a trance state. Practice by focusing on someone youd like to communicate with the next time you are practicing your relaxation techniques.
Visualize them and project positive thoughts. Visualize them receiving your thoughts. Remain focused on this until the recipient has had enough time to absorb these thoughts.
Then withdraw your focus completely. Its important to stop the contact so the person will feel the loss of communication, which will prompt them to re-establish the connection and contact you in return.
The point of learning to focus while on your own is so that when you begin your training with a partner, your mind will already be receptive and ready to receive impressions and images more easily.
Partner Practice
One partner will be the sender and the other will be the receiver in this exercise. The sender should begin by projecting simple thoughts such as bright colors.
The receiver should be prepared with pad and pen to record any and all impressions and thoughts that come to mind.
After ending the session, the sender and receiver should compare their results and see how successful the session has been. Dont worry if its difficult as first. Like any other skill, it will become easier with practice.
